Must-read Guide for A&H
Before starting an apartment/house thread, there are a few things you should know:
1. This section has the [casual] tag, which means this will be unrelated to the main RPing plotline/character history. There are a few things that you can bring from the main RP, and that will be explained later. Remember: you still need 50 words!
2. Like point one, this apartment/house will have nothing to do with your history. So, if your biography or character sheet says 'he lives in Fallback Town', then he does when you aren't in an area with the [casual] tag. In other words, when you are challenging gyms, catching Pokemon etc etc, you will still follow this biography. However, this is a 'random' area where you can have an 'additional' apartment or house for partying, having fun or even...making out. Just remember the PG!
3. Time is different here. If you meet a new person, let's say... 'Susan' in your apartment, you would still not recognize her if you meet her again in the 'real' roleplay. If you know her 'officially', then you would still remember her whenshe walks in, though. Treat this as an extra. Like a parallel dimension, you will not remember any experiences beyond this apartment, so even if you DID make out with that Susan...well, it never happened.
4. The Pokemon in your party can also be brought here, but once again, the same memory thing occurs.
5. To cut it short: this is another 'you' which has a memory equal to the 'you' in the original roleplay. But what happens here will not affect things outside it.
Now to teach you how to start an apartment/house thread! The thread must have a good description of your house/apartment which include:
- Where is it
- If it's an apartment, what floor, what block, what etc etc
- The room's furniture and color
- Other details
Once that's done, others can just enter! If you already know him in your original roleplay, then you don't have to introduce yourself here. If you don't...well just say hi! Ignore the fact that he's a stranger then. Awkward, yes, but that won't stop anyone from partying.
Have fun!
